basil notes...

when the basil reaches the bottom, of the "top" cupboards...


...it's time to make pesto!


i am going to try this recipe when i return from

work tonight!  

(my Mom embroidered tea towel, i haven't
used it...too pretty! )

  1. Oh dear friend, you are going to love this! I make this pesto at least two times a week. I make stuffed basil burgers:

    take a burger patty and lay a goat cheese round in the center. take another patty and lay on top, cinching the edges. Grill; then put your pesto on top the burger, add spinach or green of our choice and eat this baby sandwiched in between some BRIOCHE or other fabulous French bread! ENJOY! Anita

  8. It's funny, I don't have a green thumb at all but my basil plant is going strong by my kitchen window. There's something so satisfying about growing a plant that is so delicious too! Your photo is lovely :)
