the OTHER PERSON always hits it out of the park!

hello lovelies!

you know i like to keep it light and fun around here.

in the spirit of light and motivational...

for the life of me, i could not figure out the name of it's author.

the cursive signature...

(my minds eye just could not translate it.)

until this morning...

i googled...and... i found some more of  Jamie's words.

"If you feel too much, there’s still a place for you here.

If you feel too much, don’t go.

If this world is too painful, stop and rest.

It’s okay to stop and rest.

If you need a break, it’s okay to say you need a break.

This life - it’s not a contest, not a race, not a performance, not a thing that you win.

It’s okay to slow down.

You are here for more than grades, more than a job, more than a promotion, more than keeping up, more than getting by.
This life is not about status or opinion or appearance.
You don’t have to fake it.
You do not have to fake it.
Other people feel this way too.
If your heart is broken, it’s okay to say your heart is broken.
If you feel stuck, it’s okay to say you feel stuck.
If you can’t let go, it’s okay to say you can’t let go.
You are not alone in these places.
Other people feel how you feel.
You are more than just your pain. You are more than wounds, more than drugs,
more than death and silence.
There is still some time to be surprised.
There is still some time to ask for help.
There is still some time to start again.
There is still some time for love to find you.
It’s not too late.
You’re not alone.
It’s okay - whatever you need and however long it takes - it’s okay.
It’s okay.
If you feel too much, there’s still a place for you here.
If you feel too much, don’t go.
There is still some time."

Jamie's vision is to help young people.

finding Jamie...perfectly timed to meet the recent news of  the day!

* < back to light hearted Lynne! > *

i also found the source of the black bucket bag here...

just a tad out of my league at the present, but definitely not out of my dreams!

i have had moments in my life when hope flies away.

that other person always returns my hope and dreams in a heartbeat!

Jamie's quote hit it out of the park for me.

and...speaking of dreams and plans...

i will be driving to Gray Lumber this morning to pay for the deck materials!

they brew the best coffee there.

ahhh...the smell of fresh cut timber and coffee in the morning!

the truck will arrive at 34th street on Friday afternoon!

the project starts on Saturday morning!

(September Sunday morning coffees and dinners on the new deck...i'm already there!)

  1. The purse is lovely, I lusted just a little.
A new deck, now that's a gift that keeps giving back.
Enjoy your weekend, hope it's not too crazy.
    Linda C

  2. I cannot THINK of a better combination of fragrances than that of freshly brewed coffee and fresh cut timber - especially pine!!! It is so exciting to have such a wonderful project about to begin!
We should never underestimate the power of the written word to lift and encourage us!
I will be in search of this writer now!!

  3. I like the part of the quote that's says to need a friend and then to be a friend...Not in these works...but you know. Some times fresh coffee smells better than perfume. Especially toooooo much perfume. LOL. xoxo,Susie

  4. Love that bag, but definitely way out of my league. I love the part of the quote that says it is never too late. xo Laura

  5. Love these words of wisdom!

Looking forward to seeing your new deck!

  6. Can't wait to see your new gray deck, Lynne. Sitting out there on the deck with a good cup of coffee on those September mornings sounds just right to me. That black bag gets me every time, I love it!

  7. You know when your at church or have these little nudges from GOD and you know they were just for you. THIS was one of those little nudges for me today . Thank you

  8. I'm going to need to remember these words as SCHOOL begins on Monday and I've been in meetings all week that can literally overwhelm a person. FUN FUN FUN (with keeping up with the goals and demands) is how I'm going to work this year!
