what a weekend it was.

the Hawks and the Pats gave us a game.

a tough loss for us, but an amazing win for New England.

Congratulations!

Super Bowl Sunday is much bigger than

football in this house.

a little over thirty years ago...the Miami Dolphins

were one of my focal points during a long labor. 

they lost that year...

...but we won!


i gave birth to the most beautiful baby girl on that Monday after...at 12:10 pm.

on Saturday night, we celebrated that perfect day once again with a lovely dinner.

at Chrislyn's request, Mr D made his amazing rendition of grilled duck poppers.

we served beef tenderloin, this recipe for polenta crusted potatoes,

and tossed salad with pignoli, feta and balsamic dressing.

Jason was in charge of dessert.

he did not disappoint when he presented a masterpiece from Bakery Nouveau!

he is whisking Chrislyn off to NYC ( her Christmas gift) at the end of the week.

the pending get a way inspired her gift from us.

...travel sized Kari Gran skin care, samples of Jo Malone from Nordstrom

  and a little spending money.

she loved the practicality of using the FIELD NOTES as her birthday card.

the evening was a pretty perfect little slice of life.

we have a community "white board" at our clinic where we write

motivational thoughts,  put together potluck menus, and currently

cheer on the Seahawks.

on the Monday morning after the Seahawks amazing come back victory 

over Green Bay, someone in the office grabbed the BLUE dry erase marker 

and penned...

God must love the Seahawks!

it made me smile.

 it made ALL of the 12's at work smile.

it's still on the board.

how comforting it has been to see His name with each trip to

the coffeemaker and the printer.


smile...

this  past week, we have been covered by a blanket of fog at night,

and bathed by the cool clear sun during the day.

on Friday night, Matt McDonald @ Equal Motion Photography caught this image of 

Seattle at sunset with the Olympic Mountains in the background.

the "Needle" is decked out in BLUE and GREEN with the 12th man flag flying atop,

the first thought that popped into mind was...

the white board..."God must love the Seahawks !

His love is for all of us...win or lose!
