FRESH LAUNDERED LINEN...FRESH EGGS...IT'S EASTER SATURDAY MORNING ON 34TH STREET!

starting today and until October first, my wardrobe of choice (away from the office)

will be... well loved and worn blue jeans or crops... with a linen topping. 

i will carry my cross body bag that was made with LOVE.

 the laundry basket, never prettier, is filled with the pieces that i will be laundering
and hanging to dry after a spritz of lavender water!

 the amazing thing about linen, is it's patina.  i can change the entire look
or style interpretation by the use or non~use of an iron.

when i chose a pressed look, i use French ironing water. it makes ironing a divine experience!

GOOD FRIDAY...SIMPLE...SWEET...CROSS MY HEART!

today, one can't help but notice

this simple sweet on the bakery shelves.

my favorite bakery is too far for a weekday visit.

(it's about 30 miles away.)

the Bakery Nouveau version of  hot cross buns

uses orange peel and cranberries. they top their buns with
streusel before crossing.

i decided to use PW's recipe, with a Bakery Nouveau twist. i made them
without the streusel on top since PW tucks a bit of cinnamon and sugar 
inside of her recipe.

 hot cross buns are made with love...for friendship sake. the tradition is that

they are formed... baked... and given in increments of  two. sharing a hot cross bun
with a friend on Good Friday will keep the friendship strong throughout the year.

my morning on the blog has become a sweet life ritual.
a sip of coffee, with a bite sweetness.

i open this day in quiet reflection. i wish to embrace a loved one... a friend.
i wish sweet blessings for those that i love and cherish.
i am blessed every day!

BEEF, WINE AND BLESSINGS...

{this story is about some of my work family}

on Saturday we went

 here. 

we took "A Walk In The Clouds"...

...on a PacNWest misty morning.

beyond the vines there is a pretty pasture and a running creek.

that's Mr D with his taste of Pino Noir in hand.

we gathered for organic beef sorting, tossing, and wine tasting.
all before noon!
(i just LOVE us!)

here's my soul sister Cheryl and her hubby Murray!

what perfect timing! Holland Grace is ready to consume meat!
  her first taste of meat was chicken with a touch of sweet red bell pepper.
Chrislyn makes all of her food with the baby bullet.
