i'm intrigued with the Normandy cider route.
you know that i was raised, and live in
Washington State.
there was a "Delicious" apple in my lunch
almost every day when i was a school girl.
for the next few French bread Fridays
i'll take the Washington "pommes"
to the farm table with a little
detour through Normandy.
a new ritual...
last night i went to Hobby Lobby to buy
watercolors. i'm trying my hand at 15
minute..."watercolors before work"!

I love the idea of 15 minute water colors. I cannot draw and I cannot paint, but I can still dream that one day I will dabble in water colors.
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing like an apple in the Fall! They taste better in the fall. Enjoy your watercolors!
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to try my hand at water colors. Are you experienced or just trying it now? I'm curious because your water color is very pretty and if you're new, then I'd feel a little more encouraged to try it myself as a newbie!
ReplyDeleteI am new at it! Go for it Khammany!

Thanks so much for the inspiration! I'm going to Hobby Lobby tomorrow to get some water colors! I'm so excited!
DeleteSo lovely Lynne! I've been doing a little watercolor too... Yours is gorgeous ... The cocktail looks so good with and apple... Apples are amazingly beautiful fruits aren't they. Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteCiao bella,
Mary
Love the little painting. You are very talented. I would have loved an apple every day. We used to sneak some from the neighbor lady's tree...she probably hated us. But she was always so nice. I know those old people are in heaven. Mary and Henry. Makes me smile to write their names. xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteYUMMMMMM! And what says Normandy better than the cider? Oh Lynne, this is wonderful, and that you are also painting? FABULEUX MON AMIE!!! Have a relaxing weekend! Anita
ReplyDeleteOh I love Normandy and cider! You probably already know this but there used to be over 700 varities of apples in America, now there are less than 100. I am looking forward to learning all about Washington/Normandy apples, and cider.
ReplyDeleteAs for your painting...it is fabulous! Have you always been an artist and are simply trying water color as a new medium? Or is this your first piece of art, because if that is the case then you have encouraged me to pick up a pencil, a brush or anything.
Have a fabulous weekend.
Hey! You are GOOD! I think you should quit working and staying home to paint...just my personal opinion, of course. Loving the apple theme here today and hope you have a great weekend- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteTrés bon, mon amie. (Pardon any mistakes in my French. Should it be bonne?) Your watercolor is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI was just wishing for a crispy Red Delicious yesterday. Soon we should be able to get them in the stores here. Until then, I am enjoying your pommes on this post and am looking forward to future pommes posts.
As always, I am savoring and pinning your incredible photos!

Oh Lynne,
ReplyDeleteI love this time of year with all the apples......apple cider and apple pie. Every year, we go to a place called Apple Hill where you can taste the most delicious apple desserts. I love your water color painting. I didn't know you could draw. What a talent this is.
Have a happy weekend.
Love,
~Sheri
BIG LOVE COMIN'ATCHA LYNNE! Thank you for visiting and I can literally smell the apple cider here! Anita
