French bread on Friday...mon rêve..."fille de fleur"...a one stop French flower shop!

 if i were to open a shoppe, i would...

...sell the sweetest bouquets...

...and have French bread flown in from 

 Paris every Friday!
:: ici ::

  there would market baskets available

to purchase, or for the "borrow"...
:: ici ::

 ...to be filled with

  imported French ribbon,
:: ici ::

handmade soaps, 
:: ici ::


 and the best French candles!
:: ici ::

 there would be fresh linen and

 lavender!
:: ici ::

 i would offer

 emballage cadeau gratuit...

:: ici ::

...and serve cafe' to 

 my clients as they watch and wait

 for the wrap!

:: ici ::

 on the first Saturday of every month,

  i would take reservations...

...for a reading of a French

storybook and an art lesson. 
:: ici ::

 lesson one: paint Monet's garden!

    OH....now this was REALLY, REALLY, VRAIMENT SPECIAL! Lynne, I did not EVEN expect to see that drawing I did for you! And the other dreams? Super. Every child would have a red balloon....OUI! Fresh baguettes every Friday straight from Paris? OUI! Fresh café while waiting? ABSOLUTEMENT!

      Anita! This is Chrislyn, Lynne's daughter. Thank you so much for the perfect drawing of my babies. You did an excellent job of predicting what Ben will look like as a one year old. The little boy you drew looks a lot like my husband as a baby. It was such a thoughtful gift from my mom and will be a beloved piece of art in our home for years to come.

    This is such a sweet little post Lynne. I'm sure that if I opened a shop it would sell the very same things. We could get a deal in the bulk importing...lol. You know, I don't drink coffee ordinarily, but my time living in Paris and those beautiful, flake croissants...well, one just has to have that café au lait. Visiting form Anita's but now will visit much more often. Bises.

    The first among all of Anita's guests that has made me cry...tears of joy. The children's storybook and every child leaving with a red balloon reminded me of when my blog was The Shop Around the Corner. I have LONG dreamed of having such a magical bookstore/cafe.

    So beautiful.....this is the kind of shop that we all dream of walking into! I am so grateful that I was able to take my young sons to Paris to experience the museums, play in the parks, float boats at Luxembourg Gardens, climb the stairs at the Eiffel Tower and ride the carousel. Love the red balloon....one of my favorite story books that I brought home from Paris!
